2018 Point in Time
(PIT) homeless count is scheduled statewide for Thursday, Jan 25th. The count consists of two separate actions: unsheltered and sheltered counts.
We are seeking volunteers to help with the unsheltered homeless count. Volunteers will be expected to venture out into locations where homeless hunker down for the night beginning at 7:00 pm thru 9:00 pm. We hope to get enough volunteers to create 3 person teams which will be assigned certain areas of the City.
Training for volunteers and shelter personnel will be Monday, 22nd starting at 5:30 at City Hall, East Mezzanine. We will be using a phone app to conduct the count so training is imperative.
Please help pass on this call for volunteers, the more volunteers we have, the quicker we can complete this state requirement.
We will work with the shelters separately to cover the sheltered count.
